To: Writers & Photographers for Action Pursuit Games

We thank you very much for all you do to help our sport grow. Paintball is the fourth largest extreme sport today--a long way from 1981 and the first game with 12 players.

What do we need this year? Talented, reliable writers, photographers and illustrators who bring to the readers good paintball information.

We invite articles and photos showing rec ball, scenarios, tournaments, big games, corporate private games, ref'ing, player-team-company profiles, tech tips, commentary--fresh creative ways to spotlight our sport.

Facts: the magazine has space limits; not every article and photo can run. Acceptance will be much harder this year. Following the guidelines is critical to acceptance.

! You must send one package with the following items in it. Incomplete packages will be returned.

1) the article on disk or CD, with a) title, b) byline, c) your "about the author," d) photo captions numbered to match the photos and containing the name of the photographer and location/date where the photo was taken, and e) three "pull quotes" ("call outs") at the beginning of the text.

2) all photos (35 mm), slides, or transparencies, with ID number on them to match the captions; or original artwork or illustrations. NOTE: Do not send low res digital photos. Possible acceptance of very high res digital photos but these must be sent on CD or disk, with ID numbers/labels to match the captions. Please do not number or write on the photos with black or dark markers, or with ink; use a thin tip felt marker only and let the marker dry before stacking the photos to send them. Photographers with multiple photos need to ID label the photos (if you don't know how, ask us.)

3) a hard copy printout of text and captions, double-spaced.

4) all releases filled out and signed in the original (writer, photographer, model). Blank releases can be downloaded from the web site from the Writers Guidelines area.

! All submitted articles, photos, etc., are considered as submitted exclusively to Action Pursuit Games unless you clearly mark them otherwise.
